The best pizza ever. Love anything from Denino's especially the pizza and mozzarella sticks.
I drove up here from Bridgewater one night and just stumbled across this place. What a great stumble if I do say the least Inside is a nice Italian America casual spot. It was slam packed with what you can tell are all locals who love this spot and have been going for year We got a vodka pizza with prosciutto on top. The meat was fresh and that sauce was immaculate. Felt like a local and I loved it
Surprisingly good pizza Stopped by this beloved Staten Island pizzeria & left totally satisfied. Absolutely delicious bar pie pizza, tasted really delicious & fresh. It seems like this was once a small place that was forced to expand as it has seating to accommodate any size party. The only downside is the parking lot out back only fits about 7 vehicles. So you'll most likely have to look for street parking. Staff were very attentive, friendly & fast. Drinks came out quick, pizza came out after a decent but not too long of a wait. Would go back if in the area.
Krista is super dope ! She was my waitress she's so much fun! The food is absolutely delicious. The service is great ! I strongly recommend the fried shrimp , and the wings . The garlic pizza is to die for. They have tons of seating. The sangria is good no matter if you get the red or the white but definitely get a pitcher! The cappuccino is good too. Dessert I highly recommend the cannoli The cheesecake is fluffy and it's a shareable slice ..
I came here specifically for the white pie and it did not disappoint! The pie is thin, the bottom is crispy and it has the perfect garlicy flavor. I would come back here just for this pie, and I don't usually even like white pies! The space is pretty casual and large with multiple rooms with plenty of tables. There is also a more casual bar area with a couple of sports TVs - perfect for a football Sunday.
Excellent thin crust pizza. We also enjoy their fried calamari and house salad with the most delicious, creamy basalmic vinaigrette. We stick with the plain cheese pies but sometimes have tried vodka or vegetable toppings. I wish i lived closer! The only negative is the parking situation but it's worth the walk!
Food was good and the place made me feel welcomed, while enjoying my meal also enjoyed reading the history on the walls.
Deninos is hands-down the BEST pizza I've had in my entire life! Their pizza cannot compare to anywhere else I've ever tried. My family's favorites are the vodka pie, the "garbage pie" (aka meat lovers), and the clam pie. My favorite appetizers are the buffalo calamari, the mozzarella sticks, and especially the buffalo wings. You really cannot go to Denino's without trying the wings! My family has personal connections with some of the Denino's employees, but everyone on staff is really kind and accommodating to our huge group (give or take 20 people). At Denino's, they really know how to treat everyone like family! The only problem I have with Denino's is the parking situation. The parking lot is so small and there is hardly any room for SUVs or Sedans in the parking spots. We normally resort to street parking, but tonight we were able to park in the lot across the street, which made the trip much more convenient. *NOTE* Denino's is not the most accessible spot for those with physical disabilities. The parking lot has lots of cracks and the paving is uneven, making it hard to walk on. There is also a big step up into the restaurant from the main doorway, and an incline leading from the main dining area to the back room. Finally, the aisles between the booths/tables are very cramped--not enough room to effectively maneuver a walker or wheelchair.
There is some fantastic pizza on The Rock, and I've been excited to try Deninos, and holy smokes am I glad I did. First I have to say the tavern vibe is great and it was nice to hear Staten Island accents from every direction (eg New Dawp lane). Service was great, friendly, food came out quick despite being busy. As you will see from my photos, my order was a bit peculiar as I was going to bring some back to my bro and his family on LI (LI vs SI pizza battle is real). So, mozz sticks, lentil soup and two pies - each half plain and half toppings (essentially 4 different pies) The mozz sticks were great and a must have - usually mozz sticks are reserved for NJ, specifically diners but Deninos has a legit mozz stick. The pizza is up there with legendary status - I think the margarita with pepperoni was the favorite of the 4 styles, followed by the plain cheese. This is the kinda pizza that you eat and just get excited because of how damn good it is. Make the trip to the rock; it's worth it!
I visited Denino's for the first time around 2 pm on a Saturday afternoon to avoid the lunch rush. There were a number of open tables and a couple of larger group parties going on around that time. Parking is difficult to find as the lot right behind the restaurant only fits approximately 10 cars and is full. However, you can probably find street parking in the surrounding area, which is what we ended up doing. Having to sit right next to a large party was slightly inconvenient, but it wasn't a huge problem! The staff was quick to take our orders and we decided to get the buffalo calamari and garlic bread for appetizers and to get a pie of half veggie and half fried shrimp. The buffalo calamari was a good portion (we sadly ended up not finishing it) and was well seasoned and a bit crispy! The garlic bread was a bit underwhelming as there was not enough garlic flavor, so it was almost like we were eating plain bread. However, maybe the garlic bread parmigiana would have been more to our liking. The veggie side of the pizza was filled with an assortment of vegetables such as broccoli, mushrooms, onions, and peppers. The fried shrimp side of the pizza was interesting, but overall the pizza was a bit thin for my personal liking and did not have my desired amount of cheese on top. However, that is just personal preference, and other than that, the pizza was flavorful and enjoyable! The description of the Teddy Bear dessert was cute enough for us to try it, so we decided to share one and it was a nice ending to our meal! Overall, we definitely ordered too much for two people, but the buffalo calamari and the pizza is worth trying!
